ABOUT DOWNSTREAM AFRICA
Fly-fishing for Small- and Largescale Yellowfish in the Assegai River in South Eastern Mpumalanga and Tigerfish on the Pongola River in Zululand KZN.
Our guided fishing trips at any of the available waters, have been put together to optimize your fishing time on the water and are hardly ever on the same section of water within the space of a week, by doing so we endeavor to put you on the most productive stretch of water for your visit and this consequently eases the fishing pressure and makes for better future fishing.
In Africa as it is in most of the world, the fish are more active early morning and late afternoon, thus we are up early and out late to ensure you get the most of these optimal times. On our day trips you will have the opportunity to either enjoy a pre-packed meal or enjoy one of our shore lunches, while we sit out the heat of the day, waiting for the fish to come on again later in the afternoon.
